new new and old faithful- skincare faves from Neutrogena

This post is brought to you in partnership with Neutrogena, a brand I’ve used and loved for years. But as always, all opinions are my own, and I don’t share anything I don’t love. Thanks in advance for supporting the brands that make LoveRavayna possible.

I remember being 13 years old.  My family lived in a little suburb about an hour outside New York, and if I did all my chores and made good grades, I earned $20 per week as allowance.  Even then, I was fascinated by beauty and skincare, and spent the majority of the money I made on makeup and masks, lotions and potions- often at the Rite Aid just down the street. Then, Seventeen and Teen magazines were my info sources, and they turned me on to Neutrogena products.  Affordable, accessible, and effective, I bought them frequently- and some things never change.

Decades later, Neutrogena continues to be one of my favorite drugstore beauty brands. They’ve expanded their line significantly, and I’ve enjoyed exploring the innovations. One of the newer products that has earned its spot in my skincare rotation is the Deep Clean Purifying Clay Cleanser Mask. It multitasks- both a daily facewash and a creamy clay mask- with a satisfying but super-gentle tingle. It rinses clean and leaves my skin refreshed, never parched or stripped like some other clay masks I’ve tried.

But don’t get me wrong- I haven’t ditched their tried and true products.  I’ve been rebuying Neutrogena makeup removing wipes  since I discovered them so long ago.  I kept them in my locker and in my figure skating bag in high school, one of my weapons in the battle against teenage acne.  In college, they lived on my nightstand, so that no matter how late or rowdy the night, I could make sure and get my makeup off before falling asleep.  And now, I keep some in the console of my car, and in my gym bag.  I almost always go home to shower after working out, but am generally antsy to get the sweat and grime off my face. These cleanse without overdrying, and I love how soft and gentle they are.

With Galentine’s Day coming up (thanks, Leslie Knope!), I want to give one of y’all the opportunity to treat yoself… so I’m giving away a $50 Rite Aid gift card, valid in your local store- head over to my instagram to enter!

And although I wish every single one of you could win, Rite Aid is is making it easier than ever to shop for skin care essentials- Neutrogena will be Buy 1, Get 1 50% off during the weeks of 2/4, 2/18 and 2/25. And this week, when you use your Rite Aid Wellness+ Card, for every $40 you spend, you will receive $15 in Bonus Cash towards your next visit.

Wishing you good luck and good skin- let me know what your favorite drugstore skincare product is in the comments!
